“Consumer Internet entrepreneurs are like pro basketball players,” a venture capitalist told Michael Arrington of TechCrunch ^[1] while discussing the prospects for a thirty-something founder, “They peak at 25, by 30 they’re usually done.” Why? Because young entrepreneurs are more creative and imaginative, and are willing put 100% of their lives into their start-ups, he said.

The debate on the peak age for start-up founders continues. Although the VC’s comments may sound like a blanket statement he said there were some factors that played in to his statement.  It depends on the type of internet business and that some founders do peak later.
