Quora Answers Your Questions, Maybe

Quora is a year-old service that is just gaining traction. Similar to Yahoo! Answers [1] or Amazon Askville [2], but with a social networking component, you can pose questions and then vote on them. Like Digg, you can escalate a question or answer to the upper echelon of Net consciousness. My own tests? Not getting much response. However, I probably should stop asking about the minutiae of 4G access on unreleased tablets.
Ed Baig has his own summary here:
“There are often smart responses on Quora, a much buzzed about Silicon Valley social start-up that you’ll be hearing a lot more about in the weeks ahead. Quora aims to build a constantly evolving collection of questions and answers that are created, edited and organized by the very people who use the free service. In my experience on Quora, I found many of the people answering questions have the intellectual chops or credentials to back up their words.”
